Coverage - When selecting an insurance plan, you will need to specify who you want to be included on your policy.

Your employer will have specific guidelines as to who in your household or family may be allowed to be included on your plan.

The number of people on your plan may cause the amount you pay to be different.

  • Individual Coverage: You are purchasing a plan that covers only yourself.
  • Family Coverage: You are purchasing a plan to cover your immediate family.
  • Dependent Coverage: You are purchasing a plan to cover only those dependent on you. Most employers will not cover dependents unless the employee is also covered.
  • Employee + Spouse/Employee + Domestic Partner: You are purchasing a plan to cover yourself and your significant other. Many employers will now allow coverage for Domestic Partners if the living situation meets certain guidelines. A Domestic Partner can be either the opposite sex or the same sex as the employee.
