SecureHorizons offers Medicare Advantage plans to North Carolina residents through a contract with the federal government to administer health plans to people who qualify for Original Medicare Parts A and B and reside within their service areas. They also offer Medicare supplement insurance plans.

To be eligible to enroll in a SecureHorizons Medicare Advantage plan in North Carolina, you must be eligible for Medicare Part A and continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium each month, unless it is otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another party. Medicare then pays the Medicare Advantage plan a specific dollar amount to cover your care.

Coverage under a Medicare Advantage plan in North Carolina provides your Original Medicare coverage. Some members pay $0 monthly plan premium for a Medicare Advantage plan.
