BlueMedicareSM Supplement Plans

Medicare is great as a starting point, but it doesn't cover everything you need in a health insurance plan. That's why you need BlueMedicare Supplement. On Medicare-approved services, these policies cover those medical expenses that Medicare does not pay. Our supplement insurance options let you choose from several different levels of added benefits. BlueMedicareSM Supplement Plans - Lower Premium

BlueMedicare Supplement Plans K, L, M and N are a lower premium alternative to some of our other Medicare Supplement plans. These plans provide benefits to help cover the costs not covered by Original Medicare; but you are responsible for a higher cost-sharing amount (or to meet an annual out-of-pocket limit on certain plans) before certain services are covered at 100%. There are no doctor or hospital networks with these plans, so members can choose any doctor, specialist or hospital that participates with Medicare without additional medical expenses.

BlueMedicareSM Supplement Select Plans

BlueMedicare Supplement Select Plans has no physician network, which means your doctor is your decision, as long as he or she has admitting privileges at one of our network hospitals. This plan offers skilled nursing facility and preventative care benefits, emergency care in a foreign country and more. It's important to note that with this plan, you must use Select network hospitals for non-emergencies (emergencies are covered regardless of which hospital provides you treatment), in order to receive supplemental payment. If you use non-Select network hospitals, you'll be covered for Medicare benefits only. Please note that with any Medicare Supplement plan, you are required to continue paying your Medicare Part B premium.

Medicare Advantage Plans

BlueMedicare Regional PPO

BlueMedicare Regional PPO is all about flexibility and predictability. Available everywhere in Florida, you have the freedom to choose your own doctors and hospitals, with no referrals necessary for most health care services. Use providers inside our extensive BlueMedicare Regional PPO network and enjoy $0 deductible and affordable copays, or visit out-of-network providers for a higher out-of-pocket cost. Plus, the plan provides Medicare Part D Prescription Drug coverage for generic and brand name drugs with mail order pharmacy benefits included for your convenience. With affordable premiums, modest fixed copays and maximum out-of-pocket limits, you can budget your health care costs without changing your lifestyle. Please note that with any Medicare Advantage plan, you are required to continue paying your Medicare Part B (medical insurance) premium unless paid for by Medicaid or another third party. This is a Medicare Advantage plan, not a Medicare Supplement plan.

Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida offers Medicare prescription drug coverage to anyone entitled to Medicare Part A and/or enrolled in Part B, even if you do not currently have insurance with us.
