What Do You Mean It's Not Covered: Who's Covered and Why

We agreed to issue this policy to you because you paid the first premium and we relied on the application you made. The application is attached and is a part of this policy. All dealings are between you and us. This policy insures any person shown on page EI2,5 or any person added after the policy date. Persons, coverage or benefits added or deleted after the policy date will be shown by amendment to be attached to this policy. Each policy term begins and ends at 12 noon at the place where you reside. This policy will remain in force for any term for which we accept a premium.

In the general agreement, the insurance company states that it relied on information given in the application and issued the policy because you paid the first premium. Coverage applies only to each person shown in the policy schedule (which may be cross referenced by page number). After the policy is in effect, any changes in the persons insured, coverages, or benefits must be attached to the policy. Coverage will remain in force for any period for which the insurance company accepts a premium payment.
