What Do You Mean It's Not Covered: How the Policy Can Be Terminated

TERMINATION FOR NON-PAYMENT OF PREMIUMS: The coverage for an insured person will end if the right premium is not paid when due or within the grace period. This will not affect a claim for loss incurred before the coverage ended.

Coverage may be terminated if a premium is not paid before the end of the grace period. This will not affect a claim for covered expenses incurred before termination of coverage. An example: You failed to pay your premium due May 15. On June 15, your coverage terminated for nonpayment of premium. You were hospitalized in April, submitted a timely notice of claim, and furnished proof of loss on July 1 (within the 90-day requirement). The claim for hospital expenses is covered.
