Medicare supplement policies and certificates must have a notice prominently printed on the first page, or attached to the first page, informing every applicant of his or her right to return the policy or certificate within 30 days of delivery and have the premium refunded if he or she is not satisfied for any reason.

Any refund must be paid directly to the applicant in a timely manner -- which often means 30 days.
