Hassle-Free Health Coverage: Medicare and Medicaid
If you are 65 or older, you are probably eligible for coverage under Medicare, the Federal health insurance program run by the Health Care Financing Administration.
If price is the problem, you might want to look into Medicaid. This type of program provides medical assistance to low-income families (especially families with children and pregnant women), and disabled people.
In some cases, if you are covered under Medicaid, you are required to join a managed care plan -- so check with your county's Social Services Department to learn more.
