Welcome to this installment of the Weekly Health Insurance News Roundup. In keeping with the hot-button topic of health care reform, we'll be looking at two different articles today that take a different look at the financials of health care reform from various different points of view. Our first article comes from CBS News and is entitled, "The Health Care Cost Saving Myth." This article takes a detailed look at where various people are saying costs would be cut under a reform system, and how, in the end, that just won't be happening.

Hello, and welcome to this installment of the Weekly Health Insurance News Roundup. Since it's all over the news about health care lately, we'll be focusing on some stories involving reform, whether it's for health care or health insurance in this installment, and probably for the foreseeable future since it's bombarding the news. In this installment we will look at two articles that go along with our title. The first article is entitled, "Insurance reform could improve access to care", and comes to us from the Houston Chronicle.

Welcome to this installment of the Weekly Health Insurance News Roundup. This week we will look at one article, entitled, "Health care reform's strange bedfellows" from CNN Money. This article looks at the changes that have been made from lobbyists and politicians alike, and how they've now decided to work together in a bipartisan manner to bring about health care reform. While just about everyone agrees that health care reform is needed in this country, not everyone agrees with how it should be brought about.

Welcome to the Weekly Health Insurance News Roundup. Usually here on the Roundup, we try to avoid articles of either a timely or a political bent, as we try to maintain a neutral, timeless quality to our articles. However, news last week of a panel on the House of Representatives narrowly passed a bill that proposes to extend health insurance to millions of Americans who are currently uninsured. While I don't have the time or wherewithal to go into the entirety of the legislation, I'll give some tidbits as well as some reactions.
