This week we will look at three articles looking at various steps and ideas to make health insurance more affordable for individuals and small businesses, whether through concessions or the idea of reform. Our first article, entitled, "Health insurers, NFIB now friends, not foes, on reforms" comes to us from the Washington Business Journal. This article looks at how the National Federation of Independent Business and the health insurance industry -- longtime foes over health insurance reform -- are now making strides toward agreeing on various reforms in order to reduce the cost of health insurance for small businesses.

This time we will look at three articles covering various, yet interesting health insurance-related topics. Our first article comes to us from the Los Angeles Times and is entitled, "Make injured veterans use private health insurance? Proposal stirs controversy". In this article, they cite the Kansas City Star -- who originally ran the story -- as well as The Daily Show and the Huffington Post, all reacting to news about the Obama administration proposing to drop veterans for health insurance who also have private insurance through a spouse or parent.

In this edition we have three articles on varying topics, but all of which are interesting in their own way. Our first article comes to use from the Associated Press and is entitled, "Survey: Americans' low insurance IQ hurts finances." In this article, they look at the results of a recent poll conducted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners that shows that most people are unaware of many options concerning not just health insurance, but other types of insurance as well.

This week we will take a look as three articles, all of which discuss health care reform, and why it's so terribly needed in this country. Our first article comes to us from Counterpunch.org and is entitled, "Single-Payer Health Care Reform." In this article, author Daniel Wirt M.D. looks at how, in his opinion, only a single-payer, "Medicare-for-all" system of health care and health insurance is the best way to lower health care costs in the long run and make the system more efficient.

In this installment we will look at a few articles that cover the topics of health care segregation, how health insurance is essential for someone's well-being, as well as another take on the idea of universal health care coverage.
