With the launch of Google Health recently, a big spotlight has been turned onto using the internet for storing private health information. The more dependent we become for the internet and big internet companies such as Google, Microsoft and so on for helping us acquire and store information, the more concerns about privacy, usage of this information and so on are cropping up more and more.

This week we have a lot of ground to cover. Several state-specific articles from Pennsylvania, Florida, Iowa and California will be looked at today to show what those states are doing to help with the health care crisis, as well as how what is happening in these specific states can affect the entire nation as a whole.

n many of the articles I've looked at recently, it seems as if many local and state governments are trying to do what they can to make affordable health insurance more of a reality to their citizens. In a sluggish and tough economy such as ours, it makes a lot of sense for politicians to do what they can to help their customers save some money somewhere in their budget.

The theme in most of the articles I discovered recently involved the high and rising costs of health care, and the effects that such high costs are having on businesses and consumers. This week we will discuss some of the varying opinions on this topic as presented by several authors.
